13 Activities That Will Change Your Creative Approach
It can be said that photography, or the camera for that matter, captures our emotions or what we are feeling at that moment.
In other words, it can reflect at least two aspects of our world. What we 'eat':
- from an artistic stand point and in terms of,
- lifestyle.
From the creative side of things, it refers to what we expose ourselves to, which in turn reflects on our output.
For instance, by engaging in:
- visits to a museum
- attending an exhibition
- spend time in nature (without man-made music)
- reading books that intrigue you
- talking to interesting people
- discover a new art form
- observing what music resonates with people and why
- listen. more. (i.e. pay attention to what people are talking about such as: events, artists, movements, brands and why)
And in between all of this, part of the challenge, as a designer, artist, content creator or emerging brand, is to facing our fears and/or limiting beliefs.
- Like talking in front of a camera
- Or talking in a way that feels natural – both to the viewer and the host.
The good news is that a lot of confidence (that will then reflect on camera or in our content) can come from:
- working out or joining a sports group that has a culture that helps you get more oxygen into your brain
- eating healthy and nourishing your body with locally grown fruits, vegetables, meat etc.
- having a prayer life
- spending time with people who are going places in life and that inspire you to succeed
- spending time seeing or doing things that are fulfilling and just for you.
And whether we do or don't do any of these things, ultimately, our interests, habits and lifestyle always seems to have a way of showing up in how we speak and communicate an idea.
